This is a compilation of Archbishop Akinde’s synod addresses in the ten years he served as bishop of the Diocese of Lagos Mainland of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion). As the Primate of All Nigeria, Most Revd Nicholas Okoh says, the book is “a treasured departing gift” in which “every single address is in itself a page turner”, which “offers so much to the reader.” He adds: “This is hardly surprising given Akinde’s spiritual erudition. His profound insight is quite illuminating and indeed points the way forward for an embattled church.”
