Nike Akinwande’s work provides a useful guide on steps to be taken in line with Christian tenets. Her work reminds “us of the profound simplicity, serious implications, divine expectations and yet joyousness that should characterise these occasions…what is crucial and truly beneficial in what we are doing”. It is as much a Christian companion as a sociological treatise.
