A retired diplomat, who served as Nigeria’s Consul-General in Atlanta in the 80s and was spokesman to former Nigeria’s Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon in the 70s, Mr. Ihonde is the Author of the revealing First Call: An Account of the Gowon Years (2004), a gripping account of the high wire world of military politics of the 70s. Mr. Ihonde is a respected intercessor, who is active in non violent means of resolving Nigeria’s socio-political problems.
